NZ Wildlife is a small project out of Christchurch, New Zealand. The channel shares recordings of native birds, with a video for each species.
This site is the companion archive: every species, its photo, its Māori and scientific names, and the full recording the videos are cut from.
Nothing here is ours to claim. The photographs and field recordings are the work of the photographers and recordists credited on each species page, shared under Creative Commons licences — mostly CC BY and CC BY-SA, sourced via Wikimedia Commons and the Department of Conservation's published collections. Each page links the original file and its licence.
If you made one of these recordings or photos and want a different credit, get in touch via the YouTube channel.
